Clara (Steadings) Reynolds, 82, of Woodruff, SC, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.


Born February 2, 1924, in Spartanburg, SC, daughter of John Landrum Steadings (1874–1937) and Elmer Josephine McAbee Steadings (1884–1964); wife of Bobby Gene Reynolds (1933–2004).


Formerly employed with Arrow Automotive.


Survivors include daughters, Joyce Juanita Hammett and Debbie Reynolds Rogers; son, Mike Thompson; brother, Jack Steadings; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.


Also predeceased by a daughter, Frances Elaine Thompson Silvey (1947–1979).


Visitation was 7:00-9:00 pm, Thursday, July 20, 2006, at the home.


The family also received friends from 1:15-1:45 pm, Friday, July 21, 2006, at Trinity Baptist Church.


Funeral services followed at 2:00 pm at the church conducted by Rev. Dr. Dennis Carter and Rev. Rupert Guest; burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.


Memorials could be made to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, Greenville, SC.
