Martha Jane Steading Cox, 78, of 6 Forest Street, Spartanburg, died March 23, 1991, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

A native of Spartanburg, she was the widow of Charles Raymond Cox and daughter of the late John L. and Elmer McAbee Steading. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Kay Willard of Spartanburg; three sisters, Minnie Belle Fortenberry, Clara Reynolds and Elmer Richards, all of Spartanburg; one brother, Jack Steading of Spartanburg, three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Reverand John Lynch.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Brenda Willard, 6 Forest Street, Powell Mill, Spartanburg.
