George W. Steadings, 47, of Arkwright, died unexpectedly in a local hospital Wednesday morning at 11.

He was an employee of Arkwright Mills and was stricken at work.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Wofford and Misses Betty and Mary Ruth Steadings all of Arkwright; three sons, Norman Dean of the U. S. Army in Germany and A. W. and John Henry of Arkwright; his mother Mrs. Elmar Steadings of Spartanburg; five sisters, Mrs. Mack James and Mrs. Clara Thompson of Spartanburg, Mrs. Raymond Cox and Mrs. Elford Fortenberry of Arkwright and Mrs. Elmer Richards of Walnut Grove; and two brothers, Edwin of Arkwright and Jack of Spartanburg.

The body is at the home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by the J. F. Floyd Mortuary.
