ROEBUCK--Elmer Josephine Steadings Richard, 82, of 404 Pony Way, died August 13, 2000, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

A native of Spartanburg, she was the wife of the late Robert Martin Richard, Sr. and daughter of the late John and Elmer Steadings. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Jo Lee of Roebuck and Renee Blalock of Spartanburg; three sons, John Clifton Richards of Spartanburg, Harold Richards of Jonesville, and Charles Richard of Roebuck; one brother, Jack Steadings of Cedar Springs; one sister, Clara Mae Reynolds of Woodruff; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel, conducted by the Reverands Frankie Taylor and Dwayne Phillips. Burial will be in Walnut Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home, 404 Pony Way, Roebuck, and at the home of a daughter, Jo Lee, 320 Mule Lane, Roebuck.
