He is survived by his wife, five daughters, Mrs. Louise James and Mrs. Martha Jane Cox, both of Spartanburg and Misses Minnie Bell, Elma and Clar Mae Steadings, all of Walnut Grove; four sons, Edgar of Maryland; and George, Grady and Broadus Steadings, all of Walnut Grove; a brother, B. W. Steadings of Hayne; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the J. F. Floyd Mortuary.

Funeral services for John L. Steadings, who died Sunday night at his home at Walnut Grove, will be conducted at the Bethlehem Baptist Church at 2:30 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon by the Reverand H. K. Ezell and the Reverand Mister Pettit. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
