"Bessie" was the eldest daughter of Stephen G & Lillian [Updegraff] VanBuren. She married Warren Naugle Jan 1907 in Maplewood Church. Bessie had 10 brothers and sisters, 5 children and many many grandchildren. She and husband Warren celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1957 with a huge family celebration in Tecumseh Michigan.(large article and photo "Special to the Telegram" January 1957)

TECUMSEH Mrs. Warren Naugle
Mrs. Warren Naugle, 74, of 4651 Macon Rd., Tecumseh, died at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Herrick Memorial Hospital here, where she had been for the last two weeks. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Niblack Funeral Home at Britton, with the Rev. Harry Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Toledo Memorial Park at Toledo. Mrs. Naugle was a member of the Lakeridge Sewing Club, the Harmony Homemakers Club and the Tecumseh Baptist Church. Three brothers, two sisters and one stepdaughter preceded her in death. Survivors are her husband Warren, 4 sons, Roy of Maybee and Milton, Leslie and Warren Jr. of Tecumseh; a daughter, Mrs Betty Starry of Whitmore Lake; 5 sisters, Mrs Anna Falls, Mrs. Melissa Sacey (sic) and Florence VanBuren, all of Toledo; Mrs Thelma Welever of Akron, Ohio, and Mrs Ruth Edwards of Chicago; a stepson, Harry Naugle of Midford Ore., 18 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
