Stephen G. VanBuren "Van" youngest son of Stephen G and Lillian [Updegraff] VanBuren, killed when trapped in the front seat of the car he was riding as it struck a truck parked without lights. Recently married in September 1929 to Lois Hinkley, daughter of Mr & Mrs Theodore Hinkley of Toledo. "Van" as he was known best to pilots and others was a World War Veteran and wounded in action. He was manager of the Transcontinental Airport for a year prior to his death and was Assistant Manager when the airport was first opened. Besides his wife Lois, he left behind brothers John & Henry and sisters Lillian, Bessie Naugle, Anna Fall, Melissa Baumberger, Hattie Lemerand, Florence Davidson, Thelma Welever and Ruth Edwards and many many other relatives and Friends.
