Henry C VanBuren, son of Stephen G & Lillian [Updegraff] VanBuren; father of Muriel.
Henry C. VanBuren, 43, former operator of Van's Services Station, at Western and Hiett Avenues, died yesterday in Dearborn Mich., following an operation Thursday. Death was attributed to peritonitis.
A lifelong resident of Toledo, Mr Van Buren operated the service station for 10 years and retired from that business six months ago. He left here three months ago for Royal Oak, Mich., where he entered into a partnership of a chicken farm. Mr VanBuren, brother of the late Stephen G. VanBuren, former manager of the Transcontinental Airport, was a World War veteran and served as sergeant in the Aviation Corps. While in Toledo Mr. VanBuren made his home with a sister, Mrs. Florence Roth, 1346 West Delaware Avenue. Surviving besides the sister are his daughter, Muriel VanBuren; brother, John, Toledo; other sisters, Mrs Bessie Naugle, Milan, Mich; Mrs Thelma Welever, Akron, O; Mrs Ruth Edwards, Lakewood O., Mrs Hattie Lemerand, Trilby, Mrs Anna Fall and Mrs Malissa Baumberger, Toledo.
The Body is in H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, Trilby, where services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
