Maybee-- "J. Roy Naugle, 84, of Maybee died Saturday in his home. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Ochalek-Stark Funeral home, Milan where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Diana Goudie of the London United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in London Cemetery, London Township.
Born Oct. 1, 1909 in Holland, Ohio, he was the son of Warren and Bessie (VanBuren) Naugle. He was married March 19, 1932 to Zaidah Bruckner in Angola Ind. They had been summer residents of Indian River. Mr. Naugle farmed most of his life and was a former member of the Indian River Sportsmen's Club. Surviving are his wife; six daughters, Jean Blain and Dorothy Jeffrey, both of Maybee, Mrs. Doc (Gail) McCall of Indian River, Patricia Quigley of Tecumseh, Sandra Naugle of Ann Arbor and Marjorie Seibert of Ypsilanti; 18 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs Cayce (Ruth) Kiger; a grandson, Larry Kiger; three brothers, and a sister. Memorials may be made to the London United Methodist Church building fund or the cornerstone Christian School in Cheboygan."
