Mrs. Steck graduated from Muncie High School with the class of 1915, and taught in private and city kindergartens for several years. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Thomas H. Steck; two grandchildren, Michael and Janine Steck; four sisters, Mrs. Ethyl M. Simes, Mrs. William H. McFadden, Mrs. Ralph Dragoo, and Mrs. Donald G. Holmes, all of Muncie; and a brother, Paul Mauzy, Muncie. Another brother, Byron Mauzy, died Nov. 14.
Funeral services will be at Meeks Mortuary at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. C. Russell Moodey, rector of Grace Episcopal Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Elm Ridge Mausoleum at 10 a.m. Monday. Those attending the funeral services will meet at the Mausoleum. Callers will be received at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Saturday and prior to the services on Sunday.
