Lois Winton Kafer, 78, died Friday, 7 Feb 1997. Funeral services were held Saturday, 8 Feb 1997 at the Church of Christ at Ryan Oklahoma, with Rodger Schwenn officiating.
Burial was in Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Morehead-Goetz Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kafer was born 23 May 1918. Lois Winton married Walter Ernest Kafer on 25 Sept 1941. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She had lived in Comanche since 1991.
Mrs. Kafer was preceded in death by her husband on 24 May 1973; one son, Gary Dale; her parents, Albert Thornton Winton and Mattie Bedford Smith Winton; three brothers, Loyd Winton, Leland Winton and R.J. Winton; four sisters, Oma Winton, Alice Winton Holt, Ada Winton Frost and Elizabeth Winton Newberry.
She is survived by one sister, Cleo LaPlante of Borger, Texas, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Married Walter Earnest Kafer (1915-1973) on 25 Sept 1941, at Walters, Cotton, Oklahoma. Her only child, Gary Dale Kafer, was born 10 Oct 1949, at Borger, Hutchinson, Texas. He was immediately taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, Houston, Harris, Texas, where he died 31 Mar 1950, of congenital heart disease, and was buried at Waurika Cemetery, Waurika, Jefferson, Oklahoma.
