Patrice Denis Pelletier was born and raised in Lac Baker, New Brunswick, Canada. His name in French-Canada was spelled 'Patrice'; and though he later adopted the English version, 'Patrick', he was more commonly known as Pat.

In 1935 at age 29, Pat married his sister-in-law's sister (Carmen Beaulieu) at L'Église de St-Thomas-d'Aquin. Several years later, the couple and their elder sons immigrated to the States where they settled in the south end of Waterbury, which was then a predominantly French neighborhood. Along with his family, Pat attended Saint Anne's Church where he was a member of the Holy Name Society; and he had been employed at UniRoyal in nearby Naugatuck.

Widowed at 63, Pat survived his wife by five years and died unexpectedly in 1973, at age 67, at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. His funeral arrangements were entrusted to the now-defunct Frigon Funeral Home in Waterbury, with calling hours from 7 to 9 on Wednesday evening, October 31, and on Thursday, November 1, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A funeral mass was held at Saint Anne's Church at 10am on Friday, after which Pat was laid to rest next to his wife at Saint James Cemetery in Naugatuck.

Rest in peace, Pat.
