Edith H. Adams, 92, Pleasant Gap, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, College Township. Born Feb. 12, 1912, in Pleasant Gap, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Jennie Twitmyer Hile. She married W. Clyde Adams, who died in 1985. She was a 1928 graduate of the Bellefonte High School and a 1930 graduate of the Lock Haven Normal School. She was a school teacher and taught first and second grades in Pleasant Gap from 1930 until 1934. She also worked as head of the billing department at Titan Metal from 1934 until 1942. She then worked in her home as a homemaker. She was a member of the Pleasant Gap United Methodist Church in Pleasant Gap. She was a member of the Pleasant Gap Woman's Club. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Myers, and her husband, Doyle, of Eldersburg, Md.; a son-in-law, Michael Stensaas, of Chicago; numerous nieces and nephews; and three granddaughters. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Honey Stensaas, who died in 1997, and Susan Adams, who died in 1953.
