Funeral rites for Mrs. Albert Eppenbaugh, fifty-eight, were held from the F.O. Jolley funeral home in Sturgis, S.D. Sunday, July 11, at 2 p. m., with the Rev. C. D, Erskine officiating. Music was furnished by the Presbyterian choir, with Margaret Steele pianist. Pallbearers were neighbors, William Phillips,L.D.Forney,Harry Potter,Charles Gray, H.E. Donaldson and Adolph Behrend. Burial was, in Bear Butte cemetery.
Katherine Reichert was born, at Bruning, Neb., September 22, 1884. There she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In 1903 the family moved to O'Neill, Neb., where January 25, 1905, she was married to Albert Eppenbaugh. To this union three children were born.
In 1916 the Eppenbaugh family moved to the farm near Hereford,S.D., and Katherine R. Eppenbaugh made her home there until her recent illness and subsequent death in Sturgis, July 8, 1943.
She is survived by her husband and three children, Mrs. Martin Repaal, Eau Claire, Wis., Mrs. Henry Paulsen and George Eppenbaugh of Hereford. Other survivors are five brothers, George Reichert of Hereford, William Reichert of Geneva, Neb., and Christ, Paul and Jacob Reichert of Bruning, Neb., four sisters, Mrs. Mary Seifried of Strang, Mrs.. Lydia Trapp of Shickley and Mrs. Louise Bruning and Mrs. Margaret Bruning of Bruning. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
Mrs. Eppenbaugh was the first of a family of ten children to pass on. The youngest of the children is over fifty years of age.
