MILDRED FRANCES (EPPENBAUGH) REPAAL - Mildred Frances Repaal was born May 13, 1906, in O'Neill, Holt County, NE, the first child of Kathryn and Albert Eppenbaugh. Mildred contracted and survived polio when she was 4 yrs. old, but was left with some limited use of her left arm. Mildred's (Millie's) family moved from O'Neil, NE, to Hereford, SD, in 1916, where Millie grew up on the family farm with her sister Ruby, and brother George.
Millie met Martin Repaal in Sturgis, SD. They were married on Jan. 5,1935. Over the years they lived in Eau Clair, WI, a short time in Los Angeles, CA, then back to Eau Clair until 1969, when they moved to Sturgis, SD. They built and sold their house there. They moved to Boise, ID in 1972, where they owned an orchard.
Millie passed away on Nov. 28,1987, at St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise after a long battle with cancer.
Millie is survived by her husband Martin Repaal, Sturgis, SD, sister Ruby Paulsen, Sturgis, SD brother George Eppenbaugh, New Underwood, SD, three nephews and two nieces.
Funeral services were held Wed., Dec. 2,1987, at 2 pm at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, SD. The Rev. Harold Verhulst conducting services. Pallbearers: George Hlavka, Henry McKay, Herb Baldwin, Miles Hudson, Glen Murray and David Lungren.
Internment was at the Black Hills National Cemetery.
