~Stanley Spain Barlow~

Stanley S Barlow, 87, of Johnson City, died Friday, September 8, 1995, at Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Barlow was a Watauga County, N.C. native but had lived in Johnson City the past 52 years. He was a son of the late Julius and Tempie McClurd Barlow.

Mr. Barlow was a Baptist.

He retired from Klopman Mills after 34 years of service.

Mr. Barlow was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Oakley Gouge Barlow, in 1985, one son, Forrest W. Barlow, seven brothers, Charlie, Raleigh, Oren, Vernie, Calvin, Paul and Manley, and one sister, Maude Barlowe Pearman Franklin.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bea Smith and Mrs. Christine Brown; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, September 10, 1995, at 8 p.m. from the East Chapel of Appalachian-Hartman Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Deaton officiating. Committal services were held Monday, September 11, 1995, at 10:00 a.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel at Monte Vista Burial Park.
