John Creighton who has been in California for several months was called home last week by the death of his sister, Mrs. Mary Bailey, widow of the late Ben M. Bailey, for years a resident of Freedom township, which occurred on December 31 at the home of her son, Amos Bailey, in Salina.

Mr. and Mrs. Amos Bailey, and son, Arlo, of Salina, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Yowell and children, Betty, Lea, Delores and Jay of Sidney, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bailey and daughter, Barbara, of Monrovia, Cal., Mr. and Mrs. Karl Smith and son Frederick of Osborne, were among the relatives from a distance who attended the Mrs. Bailey funeral Saturday afternoon.
