The sad news reached here Wednesday of the death of Dr. C. H. Creighton of Las Crusces, New Mexico, where he has been for the past two years. The Doctor was formerly located at Solomon City. He has been ill for some time, suffering with tuberculosis of the throat, but his death comes as a blow to his relatives and many friends. The deceased young man was born in Liberty township and has always managed a disposition and the required energy to succeed in the vocation of his choice. He was enjoying a lucrative practice and was well liked by all who knew him. He was a member of the Masonic lodge.

Besides a widowed mother, Mrs. Catharine Creighton, he leaves five brothers, M. J. of Hill City, James of Ottumwa, Iowa, J. J. of Mankato, Thos. of Stockholm, Kansas, and P. W. who is out west; and seven sisters, Mrs. B. M. Bailey and Miss Anna Creighton of Belleville, Miss Nora of Clifton, Mrs. W. A. Nichols of Lake City, Iowa, Mrs. W. S. Manbeck of Des Moines, Iowa, Mrs. Lewis of Ottumwa, Ia., and Mrs. Frank Hardenbrook of Chicago.

All of the above are expected to arrive for the funeral which will probably take place Sunday morning from the Creighton cottage on Wellington street. The Telescope extends sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
