Bertha J. Louey
GETTYSBURG – Bertha JoAnna (Runk) Louey, 90, of York Road, died Thursday at Village Green Nursing Home, Gettysburg. She was the wife of Paul E. Louey, who died August 8, 1985.
The service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Wetzel Funeral Home Inc., 549 Carlisle St., Hanover. Burial will be in Meadow Branch Cemetery, Westminster, Md. Viewing will be Sunday afternoon and evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Louey was born in Black Rock. She was the daughter of the late Oliver and Mary Elizabeth (Hale) Runk.
She was a member of God's Missionary Church, Hanover.
Mrs. Louey is survived by three sons, Kenneth Louey and Laverne P. Louey, both of Littlestown, and Richard Louey of Hanover; four daughters, Naomi DeGroft of Taneytown, Md., Catherine Welsh of Spring Grove, Mary Hall of Lititz, and Ruth Ditzler of Littlestown; 33 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Louey was preceded in death by a son, Irvin Louey; two daughters, Merline Louey and Mildred Kopp; a grandson; and two great-granddaughters.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Alvin R. Shaffer.
