Kenneth E. Louey
LITTLESTOWN – Kenneth E. Louey, 75, of 10 Locust St., Littlestown, died at 2:10 p.m. Sunday at Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of Betty (LeGore) Louey, to whom he was married for 57 years.
The service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Louey was born Jan. 5, 1923, in Hanover. He was the son of the late Paul and Bertha (Runk) Louey.
He was a carpenter at Hoffheins Brothers Inc., from which he retired. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Louey also is survived by two sons, Edward K. Louey of Stuart, Fla., and Ted W. Louey of Littlestown; a daughter, Carol L. Lamb of St. Augustine, Fla.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Laverne Louey of Littlestown and Richard Louey of Hanover; and three sisters, Naomi DeGroft of Taneytown, Md., Mary Hall of Lititz and Ruth Ditzler of McSherrystown. Mr. Louey was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Eric B. Stenman, pastor of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Hanover.

Married 50 Years
LITTLESTOWN – Betty and Kenneth Louey of Littlestown recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married July 6, 1941, by the Rev. Lowell Ensor in Westminster, Md.
A dinner was held in their honor in Wheaton, Md., by their children, Edward, Carol and Ted, and their families.
They have four grandchildren (one deceased) and one great-grandchild.
Betty is the daughter of the late Ivan and Treva LeGore of Hanover. Kenneth is the son of Bertha Louey of Hanover and the late Paul Louey.
