Born May 23, 1924, in Black Rock, York County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Emmanuel and Bertha (Runk) Louey.
Mrs. DeGroft was a 1942 Eichelberger High School graduate.
Naomi was a farmer working with her husband and was also an LPN.
She was a member of Keymar Evangelical Wesleyan Church of Keymar, MD and Sunday School since 1944. She served in many capacities in the church: youth worker, Delegate to conference for many years, Historian for almost 21 years and Vacation Bible School teacher to name a few.
Naomi is survived by three daughters, Deanna D. Mikesell and husband, David, of Littlestown; Marlene Y. Adkins and husband, Donald of Littlestown; Barbara A. Foster and husband, Larry, of Taneytown; two sons: Donald F. DeGroft and wife, Lannah, of Gardners; and Charles A. DeGroft and wife, Carol, of Cave City, KY; 10 grandchildren: David Dodson and wife, Stephanie, of Littlestown; Jennifer Coale and husband, Edward, of Gettysburg; Sherrie Dodson of Sells, Ariz.; Amy Hartley and husband, Bill, of Gettysburg; Jonathan Mikesell and wife, Jennifer, of Horsham; Dana Adkins - Patterson and husband, James, of Frederick; Jamie DeGroft and wife, Robin, of Cave City, KY; Benjamin Mikesell of Dallas, TX; Sarah DeGroft of Gardners and Skyler DeGroft of Cave City, KY; 12 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren: Karla, Nathan and J.P. and a step-great-grandson, Aidin; two brothers: Laverne P. Louey of Littlestown; Richard R. Louey of Spring Grove; two sisters: Mary E. Hall of Lititz and Ruth E. Ditzler of Gettysburg.
Naomi was predeceased by a son, Malcolm E. DeGroft; two granddaughters: Marcia Elaine DeGroft and Tiffany Dawn DeGroft; two brothers: Irvin & Kenneth Louey; and three sisters: Mildred Kopp, Merline Louey and Catherine Welsh.
Her funeral service was conducted by her grandson, The Rev. Jonathan A. Mikesell.
Interment was in Meadow Branch Cemetery, Westminster.
