Catherine I. Welsh
SPRING GROVE - Catherine I. (Louey) Welsh, 67, of Spring Grove RD 7, died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at her home, after a long illness. She was the the wife of Robert H. Welsh, to whom she was married for 49 years.
The service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Sauter-Irwin Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. Burial will be in St. Peter's (Lischey's) Church Cemetery, Spring Grove RD 5. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Welsh was born June 12, 1930, in Hanover. She was the daughter of the late Paul E. and Bertha J. (Runk) Louey.
She was a member of Harvest Time Temple in Hanover.
Mrs. Welsh also is survived by two sons, the Rev. Terry R. Welsh of Bon Aqua, Tenn., and Kenneth D. Welsh of Spring Grove RD 7; three daughters, Geraldine M. Sweitzer of Spring Grove RD 7, Joan L. Knight of Hanover and Lisa K. Combs of York; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth Louey and Laverne "Whitey" Louey, both of Littlestown and Richard Louey of Hanover RD 3; and three sisters, Naomi DeGroft of Taneytown, Md., Mary Hall of Lititz and Ruth Ditzler of Hanover.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Fred I. Mummert.
