Lizzie Copeland, 85, of Iberia died Sunday, Sept. 8, 1985, at Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City. She was born March 24, 1900, in Maries County to David and Cordelia Pendleton Barnhart. On Jan. 16, 1919, she was married to Gussie B. Copeland, who died Oct 23, 1976.
Mrs. Copeland was a member of the Campground Christian Church near Meta.
Surviving her are a son, William Steadman Copeland of Iberia; two brothers, Ode Barnhart and Arlie Barnhart, both of Meta; two sisters, Mary Duncan of Dixon and
Corda Rakes of Meta; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Campground Christian Church with the Rev. Earl Jones officiating. Burial was in Stokes Cemetery at Meta under the
direction of Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home of Iberia.
