Mary Bell Duncan, 89, Dixon, died Sunday at St. Elizabeth Care Center, where she had lived since 1992. She was born July 10, 1904, in Meta, a daughter of Dave and Cordelia Pendleton Barnhart. She was married Sept. 30, 1926, in Vienna, to Thurman O. Duncan, who died Jan 18, 1971. She
was a member of the Campground Christian Church.
Survivors include: one sister, Corda Rakes, Meta; one brother, Odie Barnhart, Dixon; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
One son, Jim C. Duncan, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stevinson-Rekus funeral Home in Iberia, with the Rev. Earl Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Duncan Cemetery, near Iberia.
