Arlie Barnhart, 92, of Meta died Wednesday, Dec 5, 1990 at St. Elizabeth Care Center. He was born Dec 4, 1898 in Maries County to David and Cordelia Pendleton Barnhart. On Aug 20, 1924 he was married in Vienna to Vada Bilyeu, who survives at the home.

Mr. Barnhart was a retired farmer and blacksmith. He was a member of the Campground Christian Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, Charles Barnhart of Meta; a brother, Odie Barnhart of Dixon; two sisters, Mary Duncan of Iberia and Corda Rakes of Meta; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held t 2 p.m. Saturday at the Stevinson0Mossman Funeral Home in Meta with the Rev. Earl Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Stokes Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
