Mrs. Barron died Friday, March 1, 1991 at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett. She was born May 6, 1930 in Steele, Mo., to James Thomas and Frances Scott Hicks. She was a member of the Church of Christ. On Feb. 4, 1949 in Piggott, Ark., she was married to Floyd Barron.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd Barron of Gobler, Mo.; two sons, Thomas Barron of Gosnell, Ark., Dennis Barron of Steele, Mo.; two daughters, Dorothy Parks of Gasnell, Ark., Patsy Dillard of Paragould, Ark.; two brothers, Stacy Hicks of Gobler, Mo., James Hicks of Rives, Mo.; three sisters, Gene Staggs of Rives, Mo., Bessie Bane of Portageville, Mo., Donna Staggs of East St. Louis, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven borhters and sisters.
