Services were conducted from the German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele at 1:30 Tuesday, May 20. Truman House officiated.
Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery with German Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hicks leaves his wife, Frances Scott Hicks; seven daughters: Mrs. Nettie Barnes of St. Louis; Mrs. Donna Staggs of East St. Louis, Ill.; Mrs. Gladys Hicks of Gobler; Mrs. Pearl Jackson of Gobler; Mrs. Gene Staggs of Rives; Mrs. Tuddy Barron of Hornersville; and Mrs. Bessie Pace of Hornersville; six sons: Louis Hicks of Gobler; Clarence Hicks of East St. Louis; Charles Sanford of St. Louis; William Sanford of St. Louis; Stacy Hicks of East St. Louis; two brothers: Andrew Hicks of Rives, and Sam Campbell of Michigan; 50 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren.
