Funeral services for Nellie Whitford were held December 16, 1968 in Emmanuel Baptist Church, Marion, under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Cowell officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Levi Suderman sang songs with Mrs. John D. Hett accompaning on the organ.
Escorts were Gilbert Johnson, Warren Swanson, Donald and Dennis Stahl, and Alan Whitford.
Burial was in the Elk Cemetery.
She is survived by three sons, Albert Lee, Robert Everal and John Gail; five daughters, Fern Voss, Cecil E. Swanson, Helen Theander, Marie Stahl, and Rachel Johnson; one brother, Roy; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-granchildren.
