George Alvin Hamilton, 67, died Oct. 14, 2012, in a Fort Worth hospital.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.

He was born April 26, 1945, in Mineral Wells, the son of William & Katherine Ethel Moore Hamilton. He married Cindy Phillips on Nov. 21, 2004, in Mineral Wells. He was a lifetime resident of Mineral Wells and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Hamilton, of Mineral Wells; children and spouses, Debra and Mike Gilley, of Mineral Wells, Jeffrey and Melinda Fryer, of Mineral Wells, George Hamilton Jr., of Merkel, Texas, Shawn Hamilton, of Weatherford, Texas, Tonya Franklin, of Weatherford, and Brandy Hamilton, of Sulphur Springs, Texas; step-children, Erica Patten, of Mineral Wells, and Jessica Shay, of Honesdale, Pa.; numerous grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, William "Bucky" and Ora Jane Hamilton, of Mineral Wells; sisters and brother-in-law, Dot and Joe Holder, of Mineral Wells, Joyce Hendrick, of Houston, and Ruth "Totsie" Hamilton, of Mineral Wells; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jimmy and John Hamilton; and sister, Rosa Gibson.
