Tilman W Bobo died in the Civil War and his burial site is not known.

Tilman was the son of Solomon Jr & Elizabeth [White] Bobo. He died in the Civil War, between 1861/1865. He served in the Trans-Mississippi, a Private in Turners Battery of Smith's Regiment of Artillery, a well known and accomplished unit, known for pushing back federal units, even when largely out numbered. The unit was engaged in most of the major battles of the south.

Tilman first married Jane Evaline Bobo ABT 1840 in Union Co SC, daughter of Jeremiah & Mary [Dodd] Bobo, they had 3 known children; David, Louisa, and Caroline Bobo, she died before 1848. Jane may be buried in Union Co SC, as his 2nd marriage took place in Union Co.

He married 2nd to Maryann Evaline Bishop on Dec 1848, in Union Co SC, the daughter of Benjamin & Mary [Bobo] Bishop, and they had 4 known children; Benjamin, Andrew, Augustus, and Martha. Maryann is believed to be buried at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cherokee Co AL, where a son, Augustus is buried with his wife Mattie.

Tilman was one of Five brothers to serve in the War between the states, Jeremiah, Texas, Lewis N Bobo who also died in this war, serving in Texas, Hiram who served in GA, their youngest brother, Robert, was wounded twice, but survived.
