Son of Solomon Bobo, Jr. (FAG #49605508) & Elizabeth White. 1850 census shows him at age 13 living with John and Milly Branford [Beauford] in Union, SC. Milly was his older sister. Obviously prior to his death Solomon was no longer able to care for his three youngest children. Milly and her husband, John T. Beauford took her three youngest siblings into their home.

Robert was born March 21, 1837, New Prospect, Union Co SC, he died
February 07, 1889, Clifton, Spartanburg Co SC.

His White grandparents were, Robert White Sr 1743-1843, and Mildred 'Milly Whitehead White, both of Cross Keys Union Co SC.

He served as a Confederate soldier in the 13th South Carolina Infantry, Company A. He enlisted in 1861, was wounded at least twice, obtained rank of sergeant, and was paroled at Appomattox Courthouse, April 9, 1865. (Source: A History of the 13th South Carolina Infantry by Mike Wadsworth)

His first wife, Laura, died in 1881. He married Anna Gregory Nov 8, 1886, in Pacolet, Spartanburg Co., SC. They had one child: Jessie Blandena Bobo, b. 18 Mar 1889, Clifton, Spartanburg Co., SC; d. 14 Mar 1970, Rock Hill, York Co., SC.
Anna Gregory Bobo died 1912.
