Russell "Pappy" Plaster,
80, of Gallon, Ohio, a former
resident of Raven, died June
19 at a Gallon Community
Hospital.
He was born in Raven Aug.
28, 1927 to the late Charles
and Martha Horton Plaster.
He was employed by
Weithman Brothers Constructipn
as a Union Crane
Operator for 30 years before
retiring in Jan. 1990. He was
a 40 year member of the International
Order for Operating
Engineers AFL-CIO Local
18 of Columbus. He was
also a member of the VFW
Post 4329, the American Legion,
Amvets Polk Twp. 1979
and the Fraternal Order
of Eagles, all of the Gallon
area. He loved racing and
had a zest for life.
In addition to his parents,
he was preceded in death by
his wife, Sibyl Gertrude Hess
Plaster Speece; two brothers,
David and Clinton Plaster;
and four sisters, Edith Whited,
Ruby Rasnake, Frances
Hess and Gertrude Woodrum.
Survivors: sons, Scott Plaster
of LaPorte, Ind., Ronald
and Tamra Plaster of Sarasota,
Fla., Stacey and Cheryl
Plaster of Nevada; daughters,
Lori and Dave LaChance,
Kristi and Chuck Jackson
and Wendi and Ed Wheeler,

Gallon.
