Judith (Judy) Carol Patton, age 76, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Born March 13, 1941 in Tazewell County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Martha Horton Plaster.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Jamie Renee Patton Mitchell; five brothers, Clinton (Gayle) Plaster, Russell Plaster, David (Peggy) Plaster, Billy Plaster and Edward Plaster; five sisters, Edith (Clarence) Whited, Ruby (Kemper) Rasnake, Frances (Jack) Winfrey, Ruth Mallory, Gertrude (Howard) Woodrum; several nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her husband, James R. (Jim) Patton; two sons, Barry Wayne Patton and wife Jacqueline, Cedar Bluff, Virginia, Michael David Patton and wife Leslie, Cedar Bluff, Virginia; grandchildren, Tamar Bush and husband Tony, Rosedale, Virginia, Brian Edward Mitchell, Fredericksburg, Virginia and fiancée Lisa Cornwell, Fredericksburg, Virginia, Megan Patton, Cedar Bluff, Virginia, James Patton and wife Allie, Cedar Bluff, Virginia; two special great-grandchildren, Lincoln Bush and Layla Patton; two sisters, Marie (Emory) Short, Richlands Virginia, Jean (Tolbert) White; special nieces, Donna Hager and husband Tim, Tonya White, Tammie Smith and husband Shannon and Mechelle Plaster.
The family would like to convey a special thanks to Select Specialty Hospital Nurses and Staff of ICU 3 and 4.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel, Cedar Bluff, Virginia with Rev. Doug Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Claypool Hill, Virginia. Serving as pallbearers will be, Barry Patton, Tim Hager, Tony Bush, Brian Mitchell, Chuck Plaster, Chad Plaster, Mike Patton, James Patton, Dewayne Ball and Brian Ball.
The family will receive friends 6 until 9 P.M. Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Singleton Funeral Service, Cedar Bluff, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to Honaker Elementary School for feed the children P.O. Box 744 Honaker, Virginia 24260 in her memory.
