Millie Jean White, age 86, of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 in a Bristol, Tennessee hospital.

She was born in West Raven, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Charles Wesley Plaster and Martha Alice Horton Plaster. She had made her home in the Abingdon area for the past 18 years and attended the Abingdon Bible Church. She had lived in the Swords Creek area most of her life and was a retired nurse. She was a Honaker High School Class of 1954 graduate.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Gertrude Woodrum, Edith Whited, Frances Winfrey, Ruth Mallory, Ruby Rasnake, Judy Patton, and Marie Short; and brothers, Billy, Edward, Clinton, Russell, and Dave Plaster. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Survivors are:
Her Husband: James Tolbert White

Daughters:
Tonya D. White of Piney Flats, Tennessee
Donna M. White Hager and husband, Tim of Abingdon, Virginia

Sister in Law: Peggy Plaster
Brother In Law: Jim Patton

Grandchildren: Joey Dye and Rachel; and Travis Dye and wife, Hillary
Great Grandchildren: Annabelle Dye, Madalyn Dye, Sadie Dye, Marissa Dye, Makenna Dye
Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Millie Jean White will be conducted Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 2pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Pastor Jason Bakker and Dr. Paul Bufford officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Barry Patton, Mike Patton, Dwayne Ball, Joey Dye, Travis Dye, Chad Plaster, and Chuck Plaster. Friends can call from 1pm until 2pm on Thursday prior to the funeral on Thursday at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
