Obituary
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 24, 2012 at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Edwin L. Arnaud, age 83, who passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 2:00 a.m. at his residence in Carencro.
Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. Msgr. Russell Harrington, pastor of St. John Berchman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Mr. Arnaud was a native of Arnaudville and had been a resident of Carencro for more than 50 years. He worked for the Department of Transportation and Development for over 10 years and was self-employed as a painter for 17 years. He was a parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church in Carencro and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mildred Stout Arnaud of Carencro; three sons, Kenneth "Keno" Arnaud and wife, Brenda, of Breaux Bridge, Mike Arnaud and wife, Lori, and Tony Arnaud, all of Carencro; two daughters, Marilyn A. Bacque and husband, Dennis, of Johnson City, TX, Kathy A. Taylor and husband, Bubba, of Sunset; one stepson, Kenneth Ray Marks and wife, Janet Raye, of Sulphur; one stepson-in-law, Dwight Guillory of Arnaudville; two stepdaughters, Judy Klevins and husband, Curt, Gail Stevens and husband, Tommy, all of Sulphur; nineteen grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; two brothers, Huey Arnaud and wife, Lucy, and John Arnaud, all of Carencro; two sisters, Elizabeth A. Trahan and husband, Calvin, Priscilla A. Fontes and husband, Dave, all of Carencro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Arnaud, Sr. and the former Florida Badeaux; one son, David Arnaud; one daughter-in-law, Cindy Arnaud; one stepdaughter, Debra Guillory; one brother, Joseph Jerry Arnaud; and three sisters, Frances A. Quebedeaux, Edna Mae A. Cormier, and Margaret Arnaud.
