Carencro, Louisiana
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 5, 2018 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian
Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Elizabeth Ann Trahan, age 75, the former Elizabeth Ann Arnaud, who passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at her residence in Carencro.
Interment will be in St. Peter Roman Catholic Cemetery in Carencro. The Rev. Mark Ledoux, pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. Readers will be Mandy Keown and Judith Domingue. Giftbearers will be Sarah Comeaux, Patrice Washburn and Ashley Roger.
Mrs. Trahan was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro, having also been a member of the Bonne Mort Society. Mrs. Trahan loved exercising and playing cards. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her loving husband, John Calvin Trahan of Carencro; four sons, John Patrick Trahan of Carencro, Edwin Leo Trahan and his wife, Denise, of Patterson, Daniel Paul Trahan and his wife, Brandi, and Mitchell Jude Trahan and his wife, Tammy, both of Carencro; six daughters, Mary Magdalen Keown of Carencro, Johnna Taylor and her husband, Travis, of Seaford, VA, Angela Comeaux and her husband, Tony, of Arnaudville, Lisa Gallardo and her husband, John of Rosenburg, TX, Andrea Trahan and Yvette Roger and her husband, Chad, all of Carencro; twenty seven grandchildren; thirty one great grandchildren; two brothers, Andrew Huey Arnaud and John Lee Arnaud, both of Carencro; one sister, Priscilla Joan Fontes and her husband, David, of Carencro; one brother-in-law, Harold Trahan and his wife, Mary; and one sister-in-law, Helen Wettaw and her husband, Richard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Arnaud and the former, Florida Marie Badeaux; two brothers, Edwin Louis Arnaud, Jr. and Joseph Jerry Arnaud; and three sisters, Edna Mae Cormier , Margaret Mary Arnaud, and Frances Quebedeaux; and one grandson, Stephen Michael Trahan.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Monday.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Trahan, Edwin Trahan, Mitchell Trahan, Daniel Trahan, Trey Gallardo and Jacque Trahan. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy James Keown, Michael Keown, Shannon Keown, Ryan Keown, John Paul Comeaux, Kyle Comeaux, Johnathan Trahan, Bradner Rudd, Aaron Roger, Caleb Trahan, Kohl Trahan, Saul Trahan, Ashton Trahan, Wyatt Trahan and Dakota Trahan.
