Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Priscilla Arnaud Fontes, age 76, who passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 at her residence in Carencro.

Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro. The Rev. Mark Ledoux, pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Mrs. Fontes was a native of Arnaudville and a resident of Carencro. A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner and was actively involved with St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. She was a member of God's Little Dusters, the Bonne Mort Society, Sacred Heart Society, Come Lord Jesus! Perpetual Adoration Chapel, St. Anne Society, Altar Society, volunteered at the Rectory and made her living Cursillo. Priscilla enjoyed her family and was crazy in love with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, David Fontes, Sr.; one son, David "Stoney" Fontes, Jr. and his wife, Stacy, of Hattiesburg, MS; one daughter, Victoria "Lupe" Babineaux and her husband, Billy, of Vatican; four grandchildren, Trent Babineaux and his wife, Ashleigh, Lindsey Babineaux and her fiancé, Matt Messina, Zachary Fontes and Landon Fontes; six great grandchildren, Karsen Babineaux, Emery Claire Babineaux, Elijah Babineaux, Oliver Messina, Brooks Messina, and Charli Joan Messina; one brother, John Arnaud of Henderson; three sisters-in-law, Bunny Arnaud, June Arnaud and Mildred Arnaud; and one brother-in-law, Calvin Trahan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Arnaud and the former Florita Badeaux; three brothers, Huey Arnaud and his wife, Lucy, Edwin Arnaud and his first wife, Theresa, and Jerry Arnaud; and four sisters, Elizabeth Trahan, Frances Quebedeaux and her husband, Kermick, Edna Mae Cormier and her husband, Joseph, Jr., and Margaret Arnaud Poirer and her husband, Carroll.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and will continue from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Trent Babineaux, Billy Babineaux, Matt Messina, Zachary Fontes, John Gallardo, and Andrew Arnaud, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be John Leo Arnaud and Landon Fontes.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of Hospice of Acadiana for their genuine care and compassion.
