Mary G. Moore, 84, formerly of 5743 Hanover Road, Hanover, died Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 27, at the Brethren Home in New Oxford, where she was a guest 41/2 years.
Born in Brushtown, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Mary Hufnagel Hockensmith.
She was a member of the Annunciation Church in McSherrysstown and the Arch-Con-Fraternity of the church. She was a retired employee of the Middleburg Manufacturing Co. of Hanover. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Brushtown Fire Company.
She is survived bu two daughters, Mrs. Jean M. Dickensheets and Mrs. Mary C. Hertz, both of Hanover; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; five step grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; and three brothers, Albert J. Hockensnith of Gettysburg, Peter J Hockensmith of McSherrystown and Lavere B. Hockensmith of Hanover.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, meeting at the Hicks funeral Home in McSherrystown at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Annunciation Church at 9 a.m., with her pastor, the Rev. Paul M. Miller, officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
