Mrs. Mary Catherine Hockensmith, wife of Basil Hockensmith, Brushtown, died Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from a complication of diseases. She was aged 43 years. Mrs. Hockensmith was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hufnagle, and was married January 7, 1908, to Basil Hockensmith. Surviving are her husband, her parents, four children, Mrs. T. F. Moore, Brush- town; Albert, Peter and Lavere Hockensmith, at home; two grandchildren, Jean and Mary Catherine Moore, and the following brothers and sisters: The Rev. T. C. Hufnagle, O. S. A., Havana, Cuba; Mrs. John Smith, McSherrystown; Mrs. Edward Smith. Brushtown; Mrs. Clarence Sneeringer, Bonneauville: Mrs. Leroy Smith, Brushtown: Mrs. Paul Hilterbrick. Littlestown; Mrs. Leo Lawrence. Centennial; Gertrude, Benjamin and Raymond Hufnagle. at home.' She was a member of the Joan of Arc circle. Daughters of Isabella. The funeral was held Wednesday morning with services conducted at 9 a. m. in St. Mary's Catholic church. McSherrystown. The rector, the Rev. Dr. L. A. Reudter. officiated. Burial was made in St. Mary's cemetery, McSherrystown.(also known as Annunciation)
