He was born on April 15, 1926 in the town of Stockbridge, son of the late John and Rose (Wettstein) Propson. He married Viola M. Goeser on Oct. 26, 1948.
He had served in the U. S. Army in Europe during WWWII. He had worked for Diedrich Welding of Chilton, and the M.B. Company in Chilton until retiring in 1988. Ted was an avid fisherman and Cribbage player.
Survivors include his wife, Viola; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and David Giddens of Marquette, Mich., Patricia and James McCoy of Hilbert; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Debbie Propson of Chilton, Kenneth and Peggy Propson of Sherwood; eight grandchildren; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosemary and Cyril Karls of Chilton, Alice and Tony Sabel of Kiel, Dorothy and Robert Gerner of Oshkosh, Delores and Harold Sell of Green Bay; six brothers and five sisters-in-law, John and Lydia Propson of West Bend, Joe and Bernie Propson of Kiel, Arthur and Doris Propson, Gregor Propson, Ervin and Eleanor Propson, Andrew and Virginia Propson, all of Chilton.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Leander, a sister, Isabella Miller and a sister-in-law, Rose Propson.
A memorial service was held at Wieting Funeral Home in Chilton with the Rev. Leander Nickel as officiant.
