Arthur S. Propson, age 91, of Chilton died on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009 at his home in Chilton. He was born Oct. 15, 1918, son of the late John and Rose (Wettstein) Propson.

On Oct. 14, 1944 he married Doris Schluchter, and they recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

Survivors include his wife, Doris; two children, JoAnn (Mike) Lakin and Donald (Marilyn) Propson; three grandchildren, Todd (Mary), Stephen (April), Joel (Jenny); six great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Grant, Harlee, Chase, Carter and Jake; two brothers, Joe (Bernice) and Andy (Ginny); four sisters, Rosie Karls, Dolores (Harold) Sell, Alice (Tony) Sabel and Dorothy Gerner; and two sisters-in-law, Eleanora and Viola Propson.

Art was preceded in death by his parents; a grandchild, Josh; five brothers, Leander (Viola), Ervin, Greg (Rose), John (Lydia), and Ted; a sister, Isabelle Miller; and two brothers-in-law, Cyril Karls and Bob Gerner.

Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
