William M. Hooks, 79, of Adrian RD 1 died at 5:30 this morning at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Washington Township, Jan. 28, 1898, to John A. and Barbara (John) Hooks. He was a retired coal miner and a member of Brush Valley Brethren Church, Adrian. Surviving are brothers, Christopher of Jourdanton, Tex., and Homer of Adrian RD 1; sisters Mrs. Goldie Bowser of Worthington, Mrs. Anna Croyle of Kittanning; and Mrs. Mabel Roofner of East Brady RD 1. His wife, Helen (Wolfe) Hooks, died in 1942. HOOKS - Friends of William M. Hooks, who died Feb. 26, 1977, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Walter G, Snyder Funeral Home, Cowansville, where service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Thomas Kidder of Brush Valley Brethren Church. Burial will be at St. Marks Lutheran Cemetery, Adrian. Arrangements by Snyder of Cowansville.
