Mrs. Kathryne Mains, 77, of 2837 S. Third St. died unexpectedly this morning at her residence.
A lifelong resident of Ironton, Mrs. Mains was a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Elizabeth King Byrne.
She was educated in Ironton schools and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Catholic Woman's Club.
On August 9, 1916, she was married to James J. Mains, Sr., who died July 24, 1964.
Surviving are two sons, James J. Mains, Jr, principal at Ironton High School, and Daniel R. Mains, both of Ironton; a daughter, Mrs. George A. (Mary Elizabeth) Holtzapfel, of Ironton; 16 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
