Mrs. Elizabeth Byrne, wife of Patrick J. Byrne, died this afternoon at 3:00 o'clock at her home at 911 north Fifth street. Mrs. Byrne had been in failing health for the past year but her illness did not become critical until the latter part of November. The best of medical attention and all the care that loving hands could administer failed to improve her condition, which gradually grew worse and culminated in her death today.

Mrs. Byrne was born in this city, a daughter of Mark and Catherine King. She was a splendid woman, whose chief interest in life was centered in her family and her death is a source of sincere sorrow to many friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children: William T. Byrne and Mrs. J.J. Mains of this city and Mrs. M. T. Sanders of Ashland, Ky. One sister, Mrs. Mary Catherine King Gibson of Portsmouth, and two brothers, John S. King of Ironton, and James King of Coneaut, O, also survives.

Mrs. Byrne was a life-long member of St. Lawrence's Catholic church and the funeral services will be held there, probably Monday morning at 9:00 o'clcock, altho final arrangements had not been completed today. Burial will be made in Sacred Heart cemetery under the direction of O'Keefe and Company.

Residence when she died was her parent's original home: 911 S 5th St in Ironton, OH
