DEATH CLAIMS MISS ADAMS
Miss Maggie Adams, 74 years of age, died yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at a local hospital after a two weeks of illness. She served as head matron at Barium Springs for 29 years and after her retirement came to this city to make bet home at 358 N. Center Street with a sister, Miss Mattie Adams.
A daughter of the late William M. Adams and Prudence Hill Adams of this county, she was born on October 26, 1871, in Fort Dobbs community.
Miss Adams is survived by two sisters, Miss Mattie Adams at the home; Mrs. W. C. Wooten of the county; and one brother, John W. Adams of Dallas, Texas.
Funeral services will be conducted from the residence tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock by Rev. S. L. Cathey Rev. Paul Benton, and Rev. Neill R. McGeachy. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Nicholson Funeral Home where the body will remain until tomorrow at noon.
