Miss Adams Succumbs
Miss Mattie Nesbit Adams, 95, died at 7 a.m. today at Presbyterian Home at High Point. She had been a resident there for about eight years.
She was born Dec. 11, 1876 in Iredell County. Miss Adams was a daughter of the late William McClelland and Sarah Prudence Hill Adams.
Miss Adams was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Graveside rites will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery. Rev. J. Layton Mauze, III, will officiate.
Surviving are two nephews, James H. Adams of route 4, Statesville, and Hugh H. Wooten of Luray, VA.
The family will receive friends at the Nicholson funeral Home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today.
