She came with her family on the railroad from Pennsylvania to Billings (1882) and then on to Stillwater (later named Columbus) Montana in 1885. For 15 years the family ran the Hotel Lavelle in Columbus. She married William P Adams Oct 22 1896 at the hotel. Will and his brother in law Hank Calhoun owned and operated the Calhoun - Adams Livery Stable.
Margaret and Will had 4 children.

all in Columbus. In later years they relocated to Los Angeles and both died there.
