Dies in Hospital;
Rites On Saturday
Mrs. Alice Mary Wilcox, 71, wife
of John V. Wilcox, 151 Interstate
Parkway, died at Bradford Hospital
Thursday morning at 6:5 o'clock.
Mrs. Wilcox had been in ill health
since June 30, 1946, and her condition
had been critical since Saturday.
She was born Nov. 19, 1876, in
Bradford and was the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Abbott, pioneer
residents of Bennett Brook
Road.
She is survived by her husband,
John V. Wilcox; one daughter, Mrs.
Edward Wallace of Bradford; one
son, Frank C. Wilcox of Bradford;
five sisters, Mrs. C. R. Askey of
Elmira, Mrs. G. J. Miller of Watkins
Glen, Mrs. A. A. Tibbitts, Mrs.
Birdie Colley, and Mrs. Ray G.
Chamberlain, all of Bradford; one
brother, A. J. Abbott of Bradford;
six grandchildren, Jack Wallace of
San Francisco. Norman Wallace,
Mary, Joan, Martha and Tommy
Wilcox, all of Bradford; one greatgrandson,
Edward Grant Wallace of
San Francisco.
The body was taken to the Koch-
Chatley Memorial Chapel and later
to the home of her son, Frank C.
Wilcox. 112 Barbour St., from where
funeral services will be held Saturday
afternoon at 2 o'clock. The
Rev. C. C. Grover, of the Hill Memorial
Evangelical United Brethren
Church will officiate. Burial will be
in the Willow Dale Cemetery.
