Mrs. Anna Tibbits, 80, of 668 Interstate
Pkwy., a native of Bradford,
and wife of Alan A. Tibbits,
died at Bradford Hospital at 12:10
p.m. yesterday. Mrs. Tibbits had
been a patient in the hospital since
Nov. 25 when she fell in her home
and fractured her hip.
She was born here on Feb. 28,
1875, the daughter of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Calvin Abbott, pioneer
residents of the community. She
was married to Mr. Tibbits on Oct.
17, 1895. Mrs. Tibbits was a member
of the Hill Memorial Evangelical
United Brethren Church.
Survivors, besides her husband include
three daughters, Mrs. Grace
Snyder, Mrs. Myrtle Kleiderlein
and Mrs. Mable Braun, all of Bradford;
one son, Ralph A., Bradford;
seven grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren;
one brother, Abe
Abbott, Bradford; three sisters, Mrs.
Kay Askey, Elmira, N. Y., Mrs.
Stella Miller, Watkins Glen, N. Y.,
and Mrs. Grace Chamberlain, Shinglehouse;
also several nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services will be held in
the Koch-Chatley Memorial Chapel
at; 3 p.m., Saturday. Dr. S. Paul
Weaver, pastor of Hill Memorial
EUB Church, will officiate. Burial
will take place in Degolia Cemetery.
