Kay Askey
ELMIRA, N.Y. - Chan R.
Askey, 78, of 504 Pennsylvania
Ave., a former Bradford, Pa.,
resident, died Feb. 28 at St.
Joseph's Hospital here. His wife,
Kay, 84, died March 18 at the
same hospital.
Mrs. Askey was the daughter of
the late Calvin and Elizabeth Abbott,
residents of the Bradford
area.
Mr. Askey was employed by
the Koch-McAllister Funeral
Home while living in Bradford. In
1937, he moved to Elmira and
worked for the Hagerman
Funeral Home.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs.
Stella Miller of Watkins Glen,
N.Y.; and several nieces and
nephews living in the Bradford
area.
Both were buried in Woodlawn cemetery
in Elmira.
